Three, Including Guard, Arrested in Mall Robbery
Three suspects, including a department store security guard, have been arrested in Friday’s botched robbery attempt at the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, police said Saturday.
Culver City Police Sgt. Lou Castle said police are seeking robbery and conspiracy charges against Mark Golden, 23, of Compton, and Charlene Nickerson, 22, and Betina McCadney, 23, of Los Angeles.
Castle said Golden surrendered to county sheriff’s officers and then identified Nickerson, a guard at the Robinsons-May store, as the mastermind of the robbery. She was arrested in the mall parking lot, where she and other employees were waiting for the store to reopen.
McCadney was arrested Friday night as she left her home, Castle said.
