San Fernando Valley : Aviation Swap Meet to Aid Museum Fund
Old aviation pins and patches will be among the paraphernalia offered at an aviation swap meet today in the Lockheed parking lot at Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road in Burbank. Part of the proceeds will go toward the effort to establish a Burbank Aviation Museum.
Unfortunately, the museum, if built, will also serve as a memorial--almost no aviation industry is left in Burbank.
“It is sad, but we want to keep the memory going,” said Walt Satalino, one of the event’s organizers.
