Firm Pledges $50,000 to Arts Alliance
Teradyne Inc., a maker of electronic testing equipment, has pledged to donate $50,000 to the Alliance for the Arts to fund programs at the Thousand Oaks Civics Arts Plaza.
The Boston-based company, which employs 1,000 people at its Agoura Hills facility, has presented a $10,000 check to the alliance’s endowment fund. It said it would make similar annual payments to fulfill its pledge.
“Welcoming Teradyne into the founders circle is both a pleasure and a privilege,” Dick Johnson, campaign director for the Alliance of the Arts, said in a news release. “The generous support of our friends and neighbors will help the Civic Arts Plaza endowment fund to grow and secure the future of our performing arts center for generations to come.”
The Alliance for the Arts is trying to raise $15 million for an endowment fund to support arts programs at the Civic Arts Plaza. The organization has received about $11 million in pledges so far.
