UCI Women Defeat Nevada; Pacific Beats Titans

Allah-mi Basheer scored 23 points and got 10 rebounds as UC Irvine beat Nevada, 64-49, in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Thursday in Reno.

Basheer made 11 of 13 free throws for the Anteaters (6-5, 1-1), who made 20 of 29 as a team. Leticia Oseguera had 14 points and 12 rebounds for UCI.

In another Big West Conference:

Pacific 75, Cal State Fullerton 50--Kate McAllister had 21 points and 13 rebounds for host Pacific (7-4, 2-0), which shot 51% and outrebounded Fullerton, 47-28. Shayla Bradshaw had 19 points for the Titans (3-8, 0-2), who forced 30 turnovers but only shot 31% from the field.
