It’s Your Dime: Sprint Corp. said its customers will be able to make calls to Canada on weekends for 10 cents a minute. The rate, which takes effect beginning Saturday, is available to callers who subscribe to the long-distance carrier’s Sprint Sense plan. The plan offers customers the same long-distance rate to Canada as it offers for domestic calls on weekends and evenings. The plan marks the first time U.S. consumers can call internationally for the price of a domestic call, Sprint said. A weekend call to Canada from the U.S. currently costs a Sprint customer 30 cents to $1, depending on the time of day and the distance.
