Amadeus Boys Choir Seeking More Voices
The Amadeus Boys Choir is starting a Saturday workshop program to find more voices for the performance group.
At the workshops, boys as young as 6 years old will be taught the fundamentals of music: including writing and reading, language pronunciation and voice production, said director Patricia Hesselbach. Boys who perform with the choir range in age from 8 to 14.
The workshops are also aimed at giving the group more rehearsal time. “In order to do what we’d all like to have happen with the group, we just need more time,” Hesselbach said.
The group performs around Southern California and sings in languages including French, Hebrew and German.
Admission to the workshops and the choir will be by audition only; auditions are scheduled for Jan. 12 and Jan. 19. For an appointment, call 648-2049.
