BASKETBALL ROUNDUP
Canoga Park 88, Buchanan (Fresno) 60--Anthony Ellison had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Aaron Lasley had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Hunters (7-2) in the consolation final of the Buchanan tournament.
GIRLS
Royal 56, Glendale 54--Amber Shores’ basket with one second left to play lifted the Highlanders (8-5) to the consolation championship in the Saugus tournament. Shores finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Renae Harring also had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Royal.
Thousand Oaks 55, Clovis West 47--Jenn Detmer scored 18 points and Nicole Woodruff added 10 for the Lancers (8-3) in the fifth-place game of the Santa Barbara tournament.
Tanara Kataroyah scored 15 for Clovis West.
Harvard-Westlake 52, Los Altos 43--Christine Bohle had 18 points and 10 rebounds, earning a spot on the all-tournament team, to lead the Wolverines (11-2) in the Arroyo tournament consolation final.
Robert Louis Stevenson (Cambria) 41, Nordhoff 37--Nell Becker had 14 points and six steals for the Rangers in a consolation-round loss in the Santa Barbara tournament.
WOMEN
Canyons 95, Lassen 76--Canyons (8-6) overcame a 16-1 deficit against Lassen (7-7) in the Sacramento tournament.
Melissa Dunkerly and Maxine Unverferth each scored 20 points to spark Canyon’s comeback. Stephanie Labor came off the bench to contribute 16 points and nine assists.
Lassen, which was outscored, 42-16, in the final 15 minutes of the first half, was led by Stephanie Ludwikowski’s 17 points.
