SEASON AT A GLANCE: After placing second in the Channel League as a junior, Dang (145 pounds) this season ranks among the Southern Section’s top middleweights. Dang (19-0) has posted tournament championships at Newbury Park, Torrance and Rosemead. “He works very hard for everything he gets,” Ventura Coach Paul Clementi said.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Dang won the championship of the Rosemead tournament Saturday by pinning top-seeded Charles Linares of Harvard-Westlake in 2 minutes 42 seconds. Dang, who was 5-0 in the tournament, was one of three Cougar wrestlers to win individual titles. Ventura placed first as a team among 40 entries.
