Company Town : David Vogler to Oversee Kids Content at Disney Online
David Vogler has been named vice president of kids content for Disney Online. Vogler will be responsible for the children’s portion of the online service. Vogler most recently served as executive producer for Nickelodeon’s online service.
* Bruce Tennenbaum has been named president of the New York-based Left Bank Organization, a music management and marketing firm that represents such recording artists as the Cranberries and John Mellencamp. Tennenbaum comes to Left Bank after holding senior record promotion posts at MCA and Atlantic Records.
* Robert M. Cheren has been named president and chief executive of the year-old Los Angeles-based independent theatrical distributor Theafilm.
* Michael Chico has joined ESPN as senior vice president of integrated sales and market research.
* Sean McLain has been appointed executive vice president of FilmQuest Pictures Corp.
* Williams Television Time, an infomercial advertising agency, has named Ellen Barre interactive services director.
* Melissa Goddard has been named vice president for Wind Dancer Films, a division of Wind Dancer Production Group.
* Tom Connor has been named senior vice president, creative services for the domestic television division of Paramount Television Group.
* Nick Winslow has been named president of Warner Bros. Recreation Enterprises.
* Eric Newman has been named vice president of creative affairs for Jacobson Co.
* Jill L. Smith has been appointed vice president of business and legal affairs for Jim Henson Pictures.
* Motion Picture Corp. of America has hired Paul Frank to serve as executive vice president and executive producer of MPCA-TV.
* Gary Tanenbaum has been named senior vice president of operations at Del-Fi Records, overseeing sales and product management.
* Helen Murphy has been promoted to senior vice president of investor relations at PolyGram International Ltd. and senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions at PolyGram Holding Inc.
