An environmental impact report for an upscale housing project that includes two 18-hole golf courses planned for the north side of Moorpark received its final approval by the City Council this week.
The council Wednesday certified the final environmental report for the Bollinger Development Co.’s 216-unit development.
The Westlake-based company plans to build the luxury housing on 655 acres near Walnut Canyon Road and Grimes Canyon Road.
Specific plans for the project--to be known as Moorpark Country Estates-- will come before the Planning Commission and the City Council within a few months.
Company President Paul Bollinger said he hopes to start construction by March if he receives final approval on the plans.
