The Beach Cities Health District is holding a candlelight procession tonight in observance of the eighth annual World AIDS Day.
Nearly 200 countries have chosen this day to draw public attention to the AIDS epidemic. This year’s theme is “Shared Rights, Shared Responsibilities†and focuses on education.
The Beach Cities Health District has planned a series of educational lectures and will set up several booths with educational materials at the Hermosa Beach Civic Auditorium. The information will be available before the 9 p.m. procession from the auditorium to the Hermosa Beach Pier.
The Beach Cities Health District is a nonprofit public agency dedicated to promoting good health in the Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach communities.
