WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier and Todd Martin were picked Tuesday to play for the United States in next month’s Davis Cup final against Russia.
U.S. captain Tom Gullikson said he will determine his singles and doubles players before the draw on Nov. 30. The matches will be played at Moscow on Dec. 1-3.
The United States, seeking its 31st Davis Cup title, will be playing Russia for the first time.
Agassi and Sampras played in victories over Italy and Sweden this year, and Martin played in victories over France and Sweden. Courier played against France.
Agassi is 22-4 in the Davis Cup, all in singles, and has a 13-match winning streak.
