His First Chance Was Terrible Enough

So J. Mike Monasmith [Viewpoint, Nov. 11] thinks Lawrence Phillips deserves a second chance on the Nebraska football team after dragging his girlfriend down three flights of stairs by her hair.

A second chance to do what? Abuse another woman? This young man should be in counseling and out of football. Instead, he’s getting the message that this kind of behavior is acceptable. He is another O.J. Simpson in the making.
