Kendra Pravettoni suggested Disney should run the L.A. Zoo (Modest Proposal, Oct. 14.) Great idea! The city is strapped for funds to cover human care needs, so let private enterprise care for the L.A. Zoo. But a privately run zoo should not be an entertainment vehicle. It must remain devoted to public education and conservation. Running the zoo would demonstrate that the Disney organization supports education, conservation and its Southern California birthplace.
