San Gabriel Valley : Ruling Lets Topless Bar Remain Open
- Share via
A federal judge tentatively ruled Friday that the city of Pasadena’s ordinances regulating adult businesses are unconstitutional, a decision that allows a topless bar to temporarily remain in operation.
The decision allows the Red Hot Theater/Cafe, which features topless dancers, to stay open until the court decides whether the club can remain in a conditional-use zone.
Judge Audrey B. Collins said she was inclined to grant a permanent injunction that would void all of Pasadena’s conditional-use permits regulating adult enterprises because they are too restrictive. She said her written decision should be handed down next week.
