El Modena to Defend Cross-Country Titles

El Modena has the only Orange County teams defending titles at the Southern Section cross-country finals Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
The El Modena boys’ and girls’ teams won the III-AA titles last year, and will be among teams trying to reach the State championships next week in Fresno. Fourteen county girls’ teams, 12 boys’ teams and 19 runners competing as individuals will take part.
The top four teams from each of the four divisions will advance. The top five individuals not on qualifying teams also advance.
