A Northridge resident and magazine publisher has been appointed to the California Recreational Trails Committee, Gov. Pete Wilson’s office announced Wednesday.
Richard P. Lague will coordinate planning and development of recreational trails in the state’s cities, counties and districts as an unpaid committee member. Members are appointed to four-year terms, according to Wilson spokesman Steve Tatum.
Lague, 51, is vice president and executive publisher of Petersen Publishing Co., which prints 26 recreation-themed periodicals, including Mountain Bike Magazine.
