Woman, 62, Dies in Auto Collision

NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A 62-year-old North Hollywood woman was killed Thursday when a pickup truck slammed into the car she was riding in, Los Angeles Police said.
Hee Sook Kim was riding in the rear passenger seat of a car driven south on Vineland Avenue by her husband, Hee Chang Cho, 65, about 11 a.m. when a truck heading west on Victory Boulevard broadsided the car, Officer Edward Washchak said.
Hee Sook Kim was rushed to Holy Cross Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a short time later, Washchak said.
“There are no independent witnesses to this traffic collision, so we have nobody to substantiate who was at fault,” Warshchak said, adding that no arrest had been made and the investigation was continuing.
