The Angels reached a multiyear television broadcast agreement with KCAL beginning with the 1996 season, the club announced Wednesday. The agreement ends a 35-year association with KTLA, Channel 5.
The Walt Disney Co., which became managing partner after buying part of the team, currently owns KCAL, Channel 9. Disney’s minority share purchase of the Angels is still awaiting the approval of major league baseball owners.
