Two bank robbers, one carrying a handgun, escaped Thursday with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
The robbery occurred at Glendale Federal Bank in the 20000 block of Magnolia Street about 10 a.m., Sgt. Joe Consoli said.
One robber approached two bank tellers at a window, showed a gun and demanded cash from both of them. The other robber stood behind to prevent any interference, Consoli said.
The two then ran from the bank. Witnesses told police they did not see a car. No one was injured, Consoli added.
The men are described as Latino in their 20s. One was wearing a dark knit cap, had a goatee, was about 5-foot-10 and of medium build. The other robber was wearing wraparound glasses, a multicolored jacket and blue shorts. He appeared to be about 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, police said.
