North Hills : Public Help Sought in Search for Suspect

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding an 18-year-old San Fernando resident they suspect of fatally shooting a 19-year-old North Hollywood man at a crowded hamburger stand parking lot.
Ezequiel Romo allegedly shot Manuel Avila several times in the chest during a midnight argument Saturday behind Tommy’s Hamburger stand at 15711 Roscoe Blvd., Los Angeles Police Detective Mike Oppelt said.
Avila died at the scene, and the gunman fled on foot and has not been seen since. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD homicide detectives at (818) 756-8291.
