PLAYA DEL REY — St. Bernard High came up with some big pays but Crespi did all the little things right in a 35-21 nonleague victory Friday night at St. Bernard.
Jamian Barbour rushed for 201 yards in 24 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Celts (3-2) used a take-what-they-give-you running attack. He scored three unanswered touchdowns as Crespi took a 28-14 halftime lead.
Ryan Block helped out with punt returns of 22 and 40 yards in the first half that set up Crespi touchdowns.
His 64-yard return for a touchdown gave Crespi its final score midway through the final quarter.
Omar Burnett completed 10 of 18 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns for the Vikings (2-3), including an 84-yard pass play to Jason Smith.
