Danny Green completed 33 of 45 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for a score as Redlands won a shootout with Claremont-Mudd, 47-27, at Stags Field. Jon Nielson completed 30 of 57 passes for 366 yards and rushed for two touchdowns in a losing effort. The teams combined for 1,091 yards total offense.
Azusa Pacific’s Chris Campbell missed a 38-yard field goal as time expired, his third miss of the day, leaving the Cougars and host Cal Lutheran deadlocked at 14-14. . . . Anthony Jones rushed for three touchdowns and Ordell Williams ran for a pair leading La Verne past Pomona-Pitzer 69-14 at Pomona. . . . Host Whittier spotted Menlo an early touchdown, then reeled off 35 unanswered points to win, 35-7. . . . Darnell Morgan’s three touchdowns and 118 yards rushing paced Chapman to a 47-6 home victory over Occidental.
