GOP Executive Panel Endorses Allen Recall
The 100-member executive committee for the state Republican Party on Friday endorsed the recall of Assemblywoman Doris Allen at the party’s convention in Palm Desert.
On Sunday, the state central committee of the GOP will vote on the issue.
The executive committee believes Allen betrayed Republican colleagues and her party’s principles when she struck a deal with Democrats earlier this year to become Assembly Speaker.
Allen, who resigned as Speaker on Sept. 14, faces the recall election on Nov. 28 in her western Orange County district.
