Litton Agrees to Buy Hughes Unit: Litton Industries Inc. said it plans to acquire the Inertial Systems Business division of Hughes Electronics Corp.’s Delco Systems Operations for an undisclosed price. The division, with 300 employees in Goleta, Calif., and Milwaukee repairs and upgrades aircraft avionics, and produces spacecraft guidance and avionics systems. The division has annual sales of more than $70 million, said Litton, a defense-electronics and naval shipbuilding concern based in Woodland Hills. Hughes, based in Los Angeles, is a subsidiary of General Motors Corp.
