It took Rangel, from Santiago High, one race this season to establish himself as one of the top runners in Southern California. Running at Woodward Park in Fresno Saturday, he won the four-mile Fresno Invitational in 20 minutes 34 seconds. . Rangel and the Dons will run locally at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Orange Empire Conference preview run in Central Park in Huntington Beach.

* Fullerton, sophomore. Jacot rushed for 142 yards in 21 carries, but Fullerton lost to Mt. San Antonio, 31-29.
