THOUSAND OAKS : Program at The Oaks to Promote Literacy
A literacy fair today will promote reading in conjunction with Zonta International Literacy Awareness Week.
The Zonta Club of Conejo Valley Area is a nonprofit service group that focuses on literacy, women’s needs, domestic violence prevention and other issues.
The Literacy Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the JC Penney Court at The Oaks regional shopping center at Hillcrest Drive and Lynn Road in Thousand Oaks.
Literacy materials will be available from reading programs in Ventura County, including the Conejo Valley Adult Education Literacy Program, Laubach Literacy of Ventura County, Simi Valley Adult Education Reading Department, Ventura County Library Service Agency Reading Program for Adults and the Ventura County Literacy Council.
Bookmarks created by the Zonta Club will be given away.
