The Santa Ana area bounded by Broadway, Flower Street, Civic Center Drive and 17th Street was long known as Willard.
Settled in the 1870s, the area still has some of its original craftsman-style bungalows, Victorian-style homes built in the 1890s and colonial revival homes from the turn of the century.
