HUNTINGTON BEACH : Man Slips In After Closing to Rob Store
A man robbed a Baskin-Robbins ice cream store at gunpoint late Tuesday by slipping in the back door just after closing and ordering an employee to empty the cash register, police said.
The man was white, about 30 years old, 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, according to police.
He had light blond or reddish hair and was wearing a tan hooded T-shirt, faded jeans and light-colored plastic glasses.
Police said he entered the store in the 5900 block of Warner Avenue about 11:05 p.m., armed with a revolver.
He ordered two employees to lie on the floor and told a third to empty the register.
No one was injured and police did not know the amount taken.
The man fled on foot, police said.
