THOUSAND OAKS : Donations Sought for Group’s Garage Sale

A garage sale to benefit the nonprofit American Assn. of University Women’s Thousand Oaks branch will take place Sept. 9 in Newbury Park.

Donations of clothing, household goods, toys, books, sports equipment, baby items, furniture, bicycles, jewelry and other goods are being accepted for the sale.

The garage sale is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 76 Pickford Court in Newbury Park.

For information on membership in the national organization, which promotes equity for women, education and societal change, call Stacy Hamlet at 495-1385. Membership is open to all graduates who hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Student affiliation is available to undergraduates who are enrolled in a regionally accredited two- or four-year institution.
