Man Robs Bank and Eludes Police
LANCASTER — A robber who apparently pretended to have a gun held up a Bank of America branch Wednesday afternoon and escaped, sheriff’s deputies said.
The man took about $2,000 from a teller at the bank at 1028 W. Ave. K, said Sgt. Bob Denham.
The suspect was described as African American, about 35 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing “a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and dirty tennis shoes,” Denham said.
The suspect claimed he had a gun, but Denham said no gun was seen. The man “was last seen running southbound through the [bank] parking lot,” he added.
