2 Telecom Companies Reportedly to Take 40% of CNI: AT&T; Corp. and Unisource, a European telecommunications venture, plan to take the joint stake in the German telecom group Communications Network International, industry sources said. AT&T; and Unisource, a consortium of Dutch, Swiss, Swedish and Spanish public phone companies, will take up shares from RWE, the German utility, which is expected to announce its departure from the CNI group next week, the sources said. German engineering and technology group Mannesmann holds the majority stake in CNI, with 50%, and Deutsche Bank, Germany’s biggest bank, and RWE each holding 25%.
