Chunnel Service for Bicyclists
Bicyclists can now take their bikes across the English Channel via Eurotunnel, the undersea tunnel that links Britain and France, according to wire service reports.
To use the service, cyclists pay $24 for a place on a mini-bus that tows a trailer carrying the bikes. The mini-bus drives onto the Le Shuttle train which will transport them under the so-called “Chunnel.” Le Shuttle is the transport service for cars, trucks and motorcycles. There is room for up to 12 riders per trip. Information: (800) 444-1545.
