Coolio in Paradise
Fueled by the success of Coolio’s best-selling single “Gangsta’s Paradise,” the soundtrack to the top-grossing “Dangerous Minds” has moved up to No. 2 in The Times’ Southern California album chart and No. 1 on the local R&B; album chart. “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which is also featured in television trailers for the movie, is No. 2 on the local singles chart. Selena’s posthumous “Dreaming of You” has topped the local album chart for four consecutive weeks.
