Helicopter Helps Douse 3-Acre Blaze
ALISO VIEJO — Firefighters called in a water-dropping helicopter during an hourlong battle to bring a three-acre blaze under control Sunday, an Orange County Fire Authority spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported about 2:50 p.m. near El Toro Road and the proposed San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor. The area is mostly grassland and no structures were damaged.
Firefighters from Laguna Beach Fire Department also helped fight the blaze.
