MISSION VIEJO : Public’s Help Sought in Hit-Run Fatality
The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in an investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident.
The accident occurred about 4:30 a.m. Sunday when a man in his mid-30s was struck by a 1992 Nissan truck as he was walking across Oso Parkway between Country Club and Montanoso drives, Lt. Tom Garner said.
The man, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident or may have seen a pedestrian in the area. Call Deputy William Funk at (714) 249-5212 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., or the sheriff’s watch commander at (714) 834-6490 after 3 p.m.
