Northridge : Police Identify Victim of Fatal Shooting
Los Angeles police on Monday identified a man found fatally shot inside a motor home parked in Northridge as John Daniel Houston.
Houston, 44, of Bonneterre, Mo., was discovered dead Sunday morning inside a motor home parked outside his sister’s house in the 19100 block of Malden Street, LAPD Detective Marshall White said. Houston had moved from Missouri about a year ago to be near his family.
Witnesses told police they heard a gunshot fired Saturday evening but did not investigate. Detectives are checking into a tip by a witness that a car was seen leaving the neighborhood around the time the shot was fired.
A motive for the killing has not been established. “We’re kind of at a loss,” White said.
