OJAI : Young Man Wearing a Wig Robs Bank
A wig-wearing robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Ojai Valley Bank on Maricopa Highway in Ojai on Monday afternoon.
FBI officials said the man walked into the bank, stood in the teller line for a moment and, when it was his turn at the window, showed the teller a note.
The man was last seen running from the bank with the money. He is described as a Latino in his early 20s, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds, and wearing a long-sleeved flannel shirt, blue cap and gray wig.
FBI special agent Larry Dick said some of the bank’s employees thought the man looked suspicious when he walked into the bank because of his shoulder-length, coarse, curly gray hair.
“He had hair not normally seen on an individual of his age,” Dick said.
