Syncor Earnings Rise 72% in Second Quarter
Syncor International Corp., a Chatsworth nuclear pharmacy network, said its profit for the second quarter that ended June 30 was $1.28 million, up 72% from $744,000 in the second quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter were $83.3 million, up slightly from $81.9 million a year earlier.
For the six months that ended June 30, Syncor earned $2.3 million, down 18% from $2.8 million in the same period a year earlier. Revenues were $166.3 million, up 6% from $156.7 million a year ago.
The company attributed the earnings gain in the second quarter to improvements in its product mix and gross margins.
