Olinda Elementary Principal Appointed
BREA — Teacher Sherrill Clevenger has been appointed principal of Olinda Elementary School, officials announced Thursday.
Clevenger, who now teaches a fourth-grade class at the school, will continue to teach part-time in addition to her new duties as principal, said Peggy Lynch, superintendent of the Brea-Olinda Unified School District.
Clevenger succeeds Tim Harvey, who had been principal of both Olinda and Laurel elementary schools. Harvey will continue as principal of Laurel Elementary, Lynch said.
Clevenger began teaching at Olinda Elementary, a school with about 200 students, in 1990. Before that, she taught elementary school in Riverside for 17 years, officials said.
