Permit Parking Harms Businesses, Employees

I am stunned and angered at the shortsightedness of residents in Studio City south of Ventura Boulevard and at a City Council which has allowed permit parking to be pushed through while no council representative exists to represent businesses and no reasonable and safe parking alternative exists for employees.
I work in one of those businesses and will be forced to look elsewhere for work because I cannot afford a ticket.
Didn’t these homeowners buy their homes in this neighborhood with open eyes about its location adjacent to a business district? If the area becomes depressed, will this improve their feelings of safety? And how can our City Council allow this to be pushed through in an area where no council representative is in place?
