Councilwoman Sally Holguin-Fallon is the target of the latest recall effort in La Puente, making her the fourth of the five council members to face such a challenge.
Besides Holguin-Fallon, the other targets are Councilmen Louis Perez, Edward L. Chavez and Joe V. Alderete.
A notice of intent to recall La Puente’s first councilwoman was filed Thursday by supporters of the three councilmen, who themselves face a recall drive by a group called Skunk Busters for Better Government. Holguin-Fallon and the three have clashed repeatedly since her election in April, 1994.
The recall notice says Holguin-Fallon “admits to misuse of city funds at taxpayer expense, opposes improving the quality of life and development of new programs for our senior citizens, favors the reduction of law enforcement services to dangerous levels.”
Holguin-Fallon could not be reached for comment Friday.
