A class to help senior citizens write their life stories is being offered by the Ventura Adult/Continuing Education school starting Friday.
The weekly class, called “Camp Memory Lane,” will be held at 9:30 a.m. Fridays at the Ventura Townehouseretirement home. The course will end July 28.
The purpose of the class is to inspire seniors to write their personal histories and to explore their creative potential as writers, said instructor Barbara Black.
No previous writing experience is required. The class is free to people 50 and over, but those who are younger can join for a $25 fee, Black said.
