BRIEFLY : College: Dorm Construction Starts

Ground has been broken for the first building in a dormitory complex on the Leavey Campus of Loyola Marymount University. The residence hall is the first of five or six buildings that will house up to 1,250 students. Designed to minimize impact on neighbors, the buildings eventually will have community areas and balconies facing the bluff so noise is directed away from the neighborhood. The hall is scheduled for completion in fall, 1996.
