MOORPARK : Community High School Graduates 32
The Moorpark Community High School graduated its largest class to date in a ceremony Wednesday at the campus on Condor Drive, Principal Gabino Aguirre said.
With 32 graduates, the Class of 1995 is almost double the size of last year’s graduating class.
Moorpark Community High School is a last resort for students in the city who are at risk of dropping out or for those who have been expelled from regular high school.
School administrators estimate that up to 15% of the more than 80 students who now attend the school end up quitting, and those who finish sometimes overcome tremendous odds to get their diplomas, Aguirre said.
