VENTURA — With Ricky Gray and Cory Kruseman competing in a an event at Bakersfield, defending track champion Gary Howard claimed victory in the 30-lap feature at Ventura Raceway.
John Ryals of Van Nuys, in the hunt in the early going, lost traction coming out of a corner on the 18th lap, then came on strong to take second.
Mike Cass won the Western Legends feature. Ray Stansberry won the Dwarf Car main.
