Bullfrogs Score 7-5 Victory Over Blades
Joe Cook scored two goals, and Daniel Shank had three assists to lead the Bullfrogs to a 7-5 victory over the Blades in the teams’ Roller Hockey International opener Saturday at The Pond of Anaheim before an announced crowd of 13,911.
The Bullfrogs led, 5-1, at halftime, but the Blades scored three consecutive goals in the third quarter to narrow the gap. Peter Kasowski, who had two goals and an assist for the Blades, scored a power-play goal seven seconds into the fourth quarter to cut Anaheim’s lead to 6-5.
But Darren Perkins answered with a goal 1 1/2 minutes later, and goalie Rob Laurie made the lead stand up as he finished with 40 saves.
