Top South L.A. Students to Be Honored
Students graduating at the top of their class from 52 south Los Angeles schools will be lauded for their achievements Saturday at an honors luncheon.
The event will honor 104 students--the top two from each school, many of whom graduated with 4.0 grade point averages--at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
The students are from elementary, middle, high and adult schools in the 48th state assembly district represented by Marguerite Archie-Hudson (D-Los Angeles), the host for Saturday’s event.
“These students deserve recognition,†Archie-Hudson said.
Event sponsors are Pacific Bell, the Gas Company, United Teachers of Los Angeles and the Brotherhood Crusade.
