CHINATOWN : 15 Students Capture $1,500 Scholarships
Fifteen high school seniors have been awarded $1,500 college scholarships by the Friends of the Chinatown Library, a community volunteer group for the Los Angeles Chinatown Public Library.
The $1,500 scholarships, awarded for the past 10 years, go to Chinatown library users entering college.
This year’s winners, scheduled to graduate in June, are: Kim Lay, Pheng Tang, George Tran, Szu-Wei Chan, San Ea, Jennifer Wong, Raymond To, Po Hung Chang, Zheng Huang, Jamie Pham, Caryn Ngo, Michael Louie, An Dao Duc, Elsie Lau and Linda Siu.
