Man Fatally Shot in Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY — Los Angeles police on Sunday were investigating the shooting death of a man in a Sun Valley neighborhood.
The man, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was found in the 8100 block of DeGarmo Avenue about 5:20 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, where he was pronounced dead.
Although police had few details about the slaying Sunday night, Sgt. Christopher Vasquez said a man was being questioned by investigators.
“We do have someone in custody that we’re questioning,” Vasquez said. “It’s undetermined whether we’re going to name him a suspect.”
